I've been eyeing several vintage cameras on ebay lately, trying to whet my appetite while not destroying my bank account. It's a very tough balancing act at times. Thankfully my taste in cameras leans far closer to Argus and Zorki than to Leica and Nikon. I've recently gotten quite a nice collection on Argus C-44 (or Forty-Four for the purist) cameras and two nearly full sets of lenses (35mm, 50mm, and 100mm) -- the only thing missing is the rare 50mm f/1.9 and something tells me that will always be missing from my collection. Two of the C-44s have an odd problem with the rnagefinder wheels not locking successfully with the lens mount focus wheel, but the third one is great. I'm running a roll of film through it now.
Next decision to make: do I try to add more lenses to my Zorki/Fed cameras or branch out to Kiev? Oddly, many Kiev lenses are a great deal cheaper than their Zorki counterparts. Not really sure why that is.
